EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Available for teens & adults | Telehealth | Illinois, Montana, & Wyoming
EMDR is one of the most effective, evidence-based treatments for trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming experiences. Instead of only talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain reprocess the memories, sensations, and beliefs that keep you stuck.
I provide EMDR as an EMDRIA-trained therapist in training with over 60 hours of supervised EMDR education.
What EMDR Helps With
EMDR is especially effective for:
Trauma (single incident or complex)
Birth trauma & postpartum distress
Medical trauma (surgery, chronic illness, emergency care)
Anxiety, panic & intrusive thoughts
Childhood or relational trauma
Negative self-beliefs that feel hard to shake
Grief & loss
Stress stored in the body
If you feel like your mind knows you're “safe,” but your body hasn't caught up, EMDR can help bridge that gap.
What EMDR Looks Like in Therapy
We build safety and stabilization first.
We identify the experiences or beliefs holding you back.
We use EMDR techniques to reprocess the memories.
Your body and mind learn a new, more adaptive response.
You gain clarity, resilience, and relief.
You don’t have to relive traumatic events. You simply notice, process, and move through them with support and structure.
Is EMDR Right for You?
If you're curious about EMDR or want help deciding whether it fits your goals, I’m happy to talk through it.
