Fees & Insurance
Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and finances. I believe you should have clear information about cost before getting started.
Individual therapy provides dedicated space to process what you’re experiencing, understand patterns, work through difficult experiences, and build meaningful change. Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions. How often we meet will depend on your clinical needs, goals, schedule, and financial considerations.

Using Insurance
I am in-network with several insurance plans. Coverage varies by state and by individual plan, so I encourage you to verify your behavioral health benefits directly with your insurance company before beginning services.

A quick note about insurance
Being “in-network” does not necessarily mean therapy will have no out-of-pocket cost. Depending on your plan, you may have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible to meet before your insurance begins paying for services.
If you are unsure what your plan covers, consider asking your insurance company:
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my copay or coinsurance for therapy?
Do I have a deductible, and how much of it has been met?
Is this provider in-network with my specific plan?
Are telehealth mental health services covered?
Private Pay
You do not have to use insurance for therapy. Some clients choose to pay privately because they prefer additional privacy, do not want their treatment dictated by insurance requirements, or want greater flexibility in how we approach their care.
If you choose private pay, you are responsible for the full session fee at the time of service.
What About EMDR?
EMDR is a specialized, evidence-based approach to treating trauma and other distressing experiences. Depending on your goals and insurance coverage, you may choose to use insurance or pay privately for EMDR treatment.
Some clients prefer private-pay EMDR because it allows us to make treatment decisions based on your individual needs rather than insurance requirements. This can be particularly helpful when doing more focused or intensive trauma work.
EMDR is not a promise of faster results, and no therapy can guarantee a particular outcome. However, for the right client and treatment goals, it can offer a focused way to address experiences that continue to feel “stuck” despite understanding them intellectually.
Good Faith Estimate
If you are uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.
